Russell Wilson’s Week 2 Status In Question After Sustained Ankle Injury

They only dressed one other quarterback for yesterday’s game against the Dolphins in rookie Trevone Boykin out of TCU. “We just need to move that up in (the game timeline) a little bit”. The Dolphins were stymied by Seattle’s defense for three quarters before putting together an impressive drive to take the lead. Miami wound up taking the lead late in the game and it took a miraculous touchdown drive from a hobbled Russell Wilson to avoid an embarrassing and avoidable Week 1 loss.

A few hours later, Carroll was more confident that Wilson will be able to play through the injury, although he is likely to be limited in practices leading into the matchup in Los Angeles.

“We were ready to go with Boykin, but Russell jumped back out”, Seattle Coach Pete Carroll said after the game, per the Seattle Times.

Seahawks wide receiver Doug Baldwin said, we want to honor those lives that we lost 15 years ago on that tragic day and honor those who sacrificed their lives for our freedom, but those who did fight for our freedom.

Four players on the Dolphins took a knee during the anthem, while across the field their opponents, the Seahawks, linked arms in a sign of unity. “I think everyone played admirably and I think for the mistakes we made and the holes that we kept digging ourselves into, it’s a blessing that we came out with a win”. “You believe in your guys”.

Carroll, in fact, noted that Wilson seemed to recover as the Miami game wore on.

The star quarterback suffered a sprained ankle in the third quarter on a sack by Ndamukong Suh, but played through the injury.

“Every time he came off a series he just said ‘What do we got to do now?”‘ Gase said.

What they said: “People call me a Seahawks hater”.

Wilson finished Week 1 with 258 yards, one touchdown and an interception.

While this sounds encouraging, news broke of the Seattle’s new acquisition in QB Jake Heaps, who has already spent time within the Seahawks organization in camp.

ANTHEM ATTENTION: Foster, Stills, Michael Thomas and Jelani Jenkins all took a knee on the Miami sideline just before the national anthem began. There are multiple players on this roster that have the ability to change the outcome of games, and they must appear on a more consistent basis.

NOTES: RB C.J. Prosise cracked a bone in his right wrist in the second half on Sunday that essentially ended his afternoon.
