Russell Wilson sparks 2nd half explosion for Seahawks

The Seahawks have struggled to live up to the hype placed on them in 2017.

“When you go into the locker room at halftime you make adjustments”. Was it was yelling, screaming, meditating, or maybe a new-wave hypnosis technique?

Plus a little Russell Wilson anger – and some who-dat guys who may have to be heard from again. I would have loved to see him stay on his feet there so he could do some damage downfield. “I got to punch him in the mouth sometimes”. Don’t get me wrong, he’s always cool, calm and collected.

Wilson got there, all right.

Wilson connected on 21 of 26 passes for 295 yards and two touchdowns with two interceptions while the Colts’ Brissett threw for 157 yards with one touchdown and one interception.

“I think that’s why you see the frustration from a lot of players saying they don’t care about your fantasy team”, he said.

“It gave us all some more juice, ” added Kam Chancellor.

The rout was on. Seattle outscored the Colts 36-3 in the second half, which happened to be the biggest point deficit in Seahawks history. What had once seemed to be a possible upset in the making instead wound up a 46-18 Seattle rout- capped by a second McKissic touchdown on a 27-yard pass from Wilson.

Brissett was 16 of 29 for 157 yards, one touchdown and one interception.

“Chris Carson hurt his ankle, and he hurt it pretty significantly”, Carroll said. Bell did more than his share, carrying the ball 35 times to help the Steelers amass 381 yards on offense.

The team also had two defensive TDs, including one of five second-half touchdowns. Who even knew running back J.D. McKissic or cornerback Justin Coleman before Sunday night? After catching just four passes for nine yards in the first two games of the season, Graham hauled in seven for 72 against Tennessee. It took yet another replay to put the points on the board, but Wilson’s animated – and ferocious -celebration was probably worth more than the six.

Indianapolis lost centre Deyshawn Bond to a quad/knee injury on the first drive of the game.

McKissic took it to heart. It will be something to watch over the few weeks with these players on IR. We were able to capitalize.

Surprisingly behind at halftime to an injury-riddled Indianapolis team that was nearly a two-touchdown underdog, Seattle used its best two quarters of the season to turn the game into the hoped-for feel-good rout, beating the Colts 46-18. The score was 3-2 until Colts Rookie QB Jacoby Brissett threw a pick, which was a run back for a touchdown.

J.D. Mc Kissic capped the Seahawks’ record-breaking night with a touchdown catch in the fourth quarter. The 36 points after halftime was a franchise record. Mc Kissic had two of the touchdowns
