Russia bans flights by EgyptAir from Nov. 14: airport official
The Russian move follows Russian President Vladimir Putin’s decision to suspend all Russian flights to Egypt after the October 31 crash of a Russian passenger jet in Egypt that killed all 224 people on board.

Kamal told the Egyptian state-run newspaper “Al-Ahram” in an interview that a copy of the recording needed to be analyzed using foreign technology available only in countries in which Airbus planes were manufactured.
He did not disclose the specific country where the recording will be sent.
The investigation into the cause of the crash has come under criticism in recent days for a lack of transparency that a few say could affect evidence critical in determining the cause of the crash.
Last Saturday, head of the Egypt-led global committee tasked with analysing the content of the black boxes, said that “a noise” was heard in the last second of the CVR and it had to be analysed with “spectral analysis”.
According to statements made earlier this month by an unnamed source who spoke to Russian news agency Interfax, “uncharacteristic sounds” were heard in the cockpit at the time of the plane’s disappearance.
Although bodies have been repatriated to Russia, it’s unclear from both Egyptian and Russian officials whether autopsies have been performed on them, the Wall Street Journal reported.
“If it turns out that it was not a terrorist act, the flights will be resumed”, she added.
Officials had already banned domestic airlines from flying to anywhere in Egypt over concerns a bomb may have downed the Russian airliner that crashed shortly after taking off from the Egyptian resort of Sharm el-Sheikh two weeks ago.

Kamal also stressed that the original tape would not be transported out of Egypt, which has been leading the investigation alongside representatives from other nations, including Russian Federation, France, Germany and Ireland.
