Russia says air force has not hit civilian targets in Syria
“I want to say this with dignity”.

Russian air forces have not hit civilian targets since targeting territory held by the Islamic State in Syria, dispelling reports that the Russian military had targeted civilians in rebel-controlled areas.
The Russian Aerospace Forces have never bombed civilian facilities since the beginning of the operation in Syria, Colonel-General Viktor Bondarev, commander-in-chief of the Russian Aerospace Forces, said.
Russian Federation has launched about 5,200 sorties in Syria over the past three months. Human Rights Watch earlier claimed Russian Federation used in Syria cluster munitions, where, the organisation said, were victims among civilians. Amnesty’s report was based on witness accounts and footage and pictures published online, but the group didn’t sent its own investigators to Syria.
“We strongly condemn Russia’s slaughter of civilians, including women, children and the elders”, Cavusoglu said, adding that such attacks on civilian area in Syria were now taking place nearly every day.
The UN said it couldn’t independently verify the allegations.
“This organization in an evaluation titled “the Russian shameful rejection of civilian casualties” recorded the precept that “the Russian attacks target residential units and directly hit civilians as well as health centers where no military targets exist and which result in civilian casualties”.
“Syria’s promises on indiscriminate weapons ring hollow when cluster munitions keep hitting civilians in many parts of the country”, HRW’s Ole Solvang said in a report that documented at least 30 cases of the use of cluster munitions in areas with civilian population.
