Russia will not cease bombing mission in Syria after cease-fire

For several weeks after that, Russian and Turkish traders held back from signing new contracts, fearing Moscow could suspend grain exports to Turkey or Ankara could curb purchases, the traders and analysts said. Washington and its allies maintain Russia has focused airstrikes on groups other than Islamic State, a charge the Russian government denies.
Russia has adopted a series of protective measures to try to boost domestic production as it confronts United States and European Union sanctions over the Ukrainian crisis, and strives to punish Turkey for downing a Russian warplane last month.
During the Wednesday meeting, Lavrov backed Kurdish militants’ ongoing fight against Daesh in Iraq and Syria, saying Moscow is ready to cooperate closely with ethnic Kurds in the battle.
Prior to his Moscow visit, Demirtas announced his support for the idea of autonomy for the southeastern Anatolia region, where he said local people had “embraced autonomy” in opposition to “dictatorship” imposed from Ankara.
“Trying to avoid being bombed by the Russian aviation, they [the militants] are changing their logistics and are building new routes for smuggling crude oil”, Rudskoi told a briefing in Moscow on December 25. “To be honest, we don’t understand why they would make contradictory remarks”.
“Gen. Valery Gerasimov has presented information concerning the continued plunder of natural resources in Syria, which are sold to provide financing for the IS, as well as the role of Turkey in this process”, the ministry said in a statement issued after Russian Armed Forces General Staff Chief Gerasimov met with his French counterpart, Pierre de Villiers, in the Russian capital. The Russian leader last week suggested that Ankara may have been trying to impress the U.S.by “licking the Americans in a certain place”.
According to the German publication, both Russian Federation and Turkey appear as parties to the Syrian conflict, even though Moscow and Ankara do not have common goals there.
Moscow insists that its jet was downed while flying over Syria.
