A senior State Department official reassured concerned lawmakers on Tuesday that the Obama administration is not planning to allow Iran access to the U.S. financial system or use of the USA dollar for transactions.

Angry lawmakers, who contend the US was taken advantage of in the deal, have countered that Tehran would be getting more than it deserves from the worldwide nuclear pact reached past year.
The Associated Press reported last week that the Treasury Department has prepared a general license that would permit offshore financial institutions to conduct foreign currency trades in dollars in support of legitimate business with Iran.
But the change could prove significant for Iran’s sanctions-battered economy.
“It [Iran] will not have a nuclear weapon”, he said.
“You’re like Exhibit A about why there was so much concern about this agreement”, said Republican Senator Bob Corker, the committee’s chairman.
US Secretary of State John Kerry, left, meets with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif at United Nations headquarters.
“It’s fair for Iran to get what it deserves because it kept it’s part of the bargain to date, with respect to the nuclear agreement”.
Zeldin and Roskam asked Kerry to explain why the missile tests have not been labeled a violation of the security resolution and why the US did not make that declaration on its own.
Shannon responded, “The point the secretary was making is that as Iran attempts to access money that is being made available to it due to the lifting of sanctions, there will be instances in which we have had to help Iran access that money by clarifying the regulations under which money can be transferred to them”. The bill, introduced by Sen.

Kabulov’s statement appears to contradict a March 2016 report by the Kuwait-based daily Al-Jarida that Russian President Vladimir Putin had temporally halted the S-300 sale after receiving intelligence briefings that Iran has supplied Hezbollah with advanced Russian missile systems, including SA-22 (Pantsir-S1) air defense systems and Yakhont supersonic anti-ship cruise missiles (See: “Has Putin Just Killed the Iran-Russia Air Defense Missile Deal?”). The Obama administration imposed new sanctions in January over an October missile test. It had previously canceled its contract to deliver these missiles back in 2010 in compliance with United Nations sanctions against Iran’s nuclear program.
