Last week the Syrian government and Russian Federation launched an effort to evacuate civilians wishing to leave Aleppo, establishing safe corridors and providing food, medical assistance and transport for those who chose to use them.

In March, Putin ordered the withdrawal of most of its air forces from Syria, but Moscow kept striking terrorist targets and maintained military coordination with the US -led coalition forces, as well as humanitarian aid delivery in the war-torn country.
“The world must not allow Russian Federation to get away with disguising its assault on Aleppo with deceitful talk about humanitarian “corridors, ‘ ” Bassma Kodmani, a member of the HNC said in a statement”.
In Damascus, Ramzy Ramzy, the United Nations’ deputy special envoy for Syria, urged talks to resume between the government and the opposition. The U.N. has called for a 48 hour cease fire to deliver medicine and food to Eastern Aleppo. However, we should put an end to this war.
The aircraft had been engaging the advancing Islamic State militants at the Syrian Army’s request when it was taken down, according to the Russian Defence Ministry.
Syrian state news agency SANA said that since Sunday, 20 civilians were killed and dozens wounded in shelling, rocket fire and sniper attacks on government-held neighborhoods.
Fighting in the area had recently intensified as rebels attempted to break a government siege of the city of Aleppo. Rudskoi told Monday’s briefing that the rebels also lost 14 tanks, 10 other armored vehicles and over 60 gun trucks.
Rudskoi said 324 civilians so far have left the militant-controlled part of Aleppo through corridors set by the Syrian government last Thursday. The Kremlin said the team had delivered aid to Aleppo and the helicopter was downed as they returned to base.
A Russian military helicopter was shot down Monday in northwestern Syria, killing all five people on board.
Video footage showed people celebrating alongside the wreckage as it burned.
The helicopter appeared to have broken up as it crashed: Its tail could be seen lying separately from the aircraft’s body in flames. The crew “died as heroes” because they sought to avoid people on the ground as their craft crashed, he said.
There were three crew members and two officers of the Russian Centre for Reconciliation on board the helicopter.
The three crew members and two officers on board were all killed.
Rebels battling to break a government led siege of Aleppo, where up to 300,000 civilians are trapped with dwindling supplies, are thought to be responsible for downing the helicopter.

The helicopter was returning to the Russian air base at Khmeimim, the statement added.
