Russian planes pound IS jihadis with ‘For Paris’ bombs

TWO Kremlin-controlled TV stations accidentally aired details of a top-secret nuclear torpedo in development by Russian Federation – but experts say it could be a thinly veiled warning by Vladimir Putin to the West.

The comments come in the wake of an Islamist attack that targeted foreigners at the Radisson Blu hotel in Bamako, Mali, which claimed the lives of 19 people in total. Russian Federation had initially drawn vital criticism from the global community when it started its bombing marketing crusade in Syria in September, with many suggesting the strikes have been aimed toward supporting Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and never helping the Syrian people.

All 224 people aboard the plane, mostly Russian tourists, were killed.

“If we want peace, we have to find a way of getting along with Assad, at least in a transition period….”

Russia is pounding the Islamic State jihadis in Syria with bombs emblazoned with the words “For our people” and “For Paris”, after Moscow vowed vengeance for the bombing of a Russian jetliner over Sinai.

Moscow claimed to have killed more than 600 fighters after hitting seven targets in the Raqa, Idlib and Aleppo provinces, Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu was quoted as saying by Russian news agencies. Russian long-range bombers and navy ships have launched 101 cruise missiles in four days, including 18 fired on Friday.

Rory Challands, Al Jazeera English’s Russian Federation correspondent had a less effusive review of the giant war room, tweeting, “Putin getting a briefing on latest strikes in Syria in new defence ministry command centre that is VERY James Bond”.

“We can not support such actions because they are being carried out without an agreement of the Syrian government”, he told Kommersant daily.

Putin instructed commanders in Syria to “make contact with the French and work with them as allies” as Russian Federation seeks a central role in a proposed anti-terrorist coalition.
