Russian Space Carrying 3 Astronauts Blasted Off For ISS
Russia’s Soyuz TMA-19M space capsule docked successfully with the International Space Station on Tuesday, bringing three astronauts to the orbiting platform.

The new crew members are Russian cosmonaut Yuri Malenchenko, US NASA astronaut Timothy Kopra, and European Space Agency astronaut Timothy Peake.
Tim Peake is not the first Brit in space – that honour went to Helen Sharman, who visited the Russian Mir space station as part of a privately contracted assignment over 20 years past.

Among them will be a UK-designed test to check for problems suffered by astronauts – including visual complications and sickness – caused by increased brain pressure.
During his six-month mission, called Principia in homage to Sir Isaac Newton’s ground-breaking text on gravity and motion, he will participate in some 265 experiments and engage with schools around the UK.
Major Peake and his two colleagues are scheduled to arrive at the International Space Station at around 5.23pm, United Kingdom time.
It took the Soyuz rocket less than ten minutes to get into orbit.
At a press conference in Baikonur yesterday Major Peake said what he was looking forward to most was his first glimpse of Earth seen from space.
According to a report from Space.com, a Russian rocket launched this morning carrying two experienced astronauts and the first-ever British astronaut toward the ISS.
Kopra took the picture back in 2009 and Echo & The Bunnymen returned the goodwill today well wishing Tim Peake and Tim Kopra safe trips to the ISS.
He also revealed that Christmas had almost slipped his mind in the hectic run up to the launch from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan.
Rising slowly at first from a conflagration of smoke and flames, the rocket quickly picked up speed until it became a bright star fading from sight.
