A mist of light clouds softened the afternoon light, giving the athletes who come from harrowing backgrounds a heavenly glimpse of one of the world’s most lovely cities, with its golden sand beaches, blue ocean and lush green Atlantic rain forest below.
According to the details, the commission claimed it had found evidence that Russia’s Sports Ministry and the Center for the Training of Russian National Teams and the Federal Security Service had covered up a doping program in Russian sports.

Stepanova’s hopes of running at the Olympics, which start next week, as an independent athlete where dashed when the International Olympic Committee ruled earlier this month that no Russian with a doping background could take part.
“This is a decision we just had the opportunity to discuss with some athletes”, Bach said in Rio.
“He thinks it’s going to be a great games”, Adams said. “He gave a very rousing thank you to the team and said, ‘Now you must concentrate on delivery, delivery, delivery”.
