Russian TV “Accidentally” Broadcasts Top Secret Nuclear Torpedo Plans
So the Kremlin says secret designs for a Russian long-range nuclear torpedo – code named “Status-6” – should not have appeared on Russian TV news.

Russian President Vladimir Putin chairs a meeting with defense officials in the Bocharov Ruchei residence in the Black Sea resort of Sochi, Russia, Tuesday, November 10, 2015.
Scary, right? Well, a few people speculate the footage, which has since been deleted from the stations’ websites, was actually aired on goal with the intent to scare Western countries.
“It’s true a few secret data got into the shot, therefore it was subsequently deleted”, said Mr Putin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
The Kremlin has confirmed that two of Russia’s main television channels broadcast details of a planned new nuclear torpedo, apparently accidentally, and said it hopes it will not happen again.
In what could turn out to be another showdown between Russia and the USA, Russian President Vladimir Putin told his defence officials that the defences against ballistic missiles being developed by the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation is actually an attempt to “neutralise” their nation’s strategic nuclear deterrent.
The nuclear torpedo is reportedly created to be used against enemy coastal installations. “This is alarming in light of the translation of the mission of the drone” to disrupting an adversary’s economy by causing massive radioactive contamination for long periods, Schneider said.
Meanwhile, commentators on the Echo of Moscow radio station argued Thursday that the revelation of the secret weapon was hardly an accident, considering the tight grip of Putin’s hand on the state-controlled news media in Russian Federation.
“But it can be considered as a means of deterrence – like the Perimetr system, which is on combat readiness, which guarantees retaliation with all of Russia’s nuclear forces even if command posts and the country’s leadership have been annihilated”.
“The plan is to deliver a 100-megaton nuclear bomb to the USA shores”, said Pavel Felgenhauer. Military experts and commentators traced the nuclear torpedo concept to the 1950s, when it was first offered by Andrei Sakharov, the father of Soviet thermonuclear bomb who later came to defy the Soviet system and won a Nobel Peace Prize.
The document, which was on screen for several seconds, shows drawings and descriptions of a weapon labelled as the “Ocean Multi-purpose System “Status 6” – a very large, self-propelled torpedo carrying an exceptionally powerful nuclear warhead.
