Rutgers, Ohio State, Temple team up on satellite camp at FDU

The camp, held at Paramus Catholic High School, offers an opportunity for the Orange to interact directly with recruits from the Garden State area.

According to a Twitter post from Nathan Chapman of ProKick Australia, Jim Harbaugh and the University of MI football program are going to host a camp in Australia. Though Tuioti had been in the NFL with the Cleveland Browns, the U-M job gave him a chance to tap into his background, and that’s how the Wolverines are reaching into Samoa and Hawaii, where he played football and spent six years on the coaching staff.

Michigan’s coaching staff is going to Australia, for a satellite camp on June 3. Why Michigan football coaches, of course! “Michigan is a pretty big deal”.

“I think it’s a great response”, Campanile told NJ Advanced Media of Rutgers coach Chris Ash’s decision to team up with Michigan’s archrival in an effort to thwart the Wolverines.

The June 8 “Next Level Camp” for rising freshmen through incoming seniors at Paramus Catholic, which Rutgers declined an invitation to attend, will feature senior coaching staff members as instructors from MI and seven other colleges including Syracuse, Maryland, Boston College, Pittsburgh, Villanova, Monmouth and Temple, according to multiple published reports.

“I would love to do it if it worked out”, he said. “I think he’s sending a message that this is our state”. I thought that Penn State playing in Ireland was a stretch.

“There have been a number of Division I players that play on the line that are from Australia”, Chapman said. To go to Columbus (Ohio), that would be a good amount of travel, and now they’re coming here. So I’m not sure if we’ll have 35, 75, 150, more…it’s an unknown. Within about three hours of announcing it, I think I had about 35 people emailing me asking where to register for the camp.
