President Barack Obama will deliver one of his last commencement addresses as president to the 2016 graduating class of Howard University in Washington, D.C., according to the White House.
The White House released the dates of Obama’s schedule to go across the country in order to share a few words with graduates and cadets as well.
But while addressing the 2013 graduates of Morehouse College, another historically black school, Obama stuck a more somber note, speaking openly about his own struggles as a black man in America and about his absent father.
Also, Obama will be receiving an honorary Doctor of Laws degree from Howard, touted as its “highest honor”. (NJ-06) applauded the news that President Obama will deliver the keynote address at Rutgers University’s 250th Anniversary Commencement in May 2016.
Obama is coming to New Jersey. Notably, Obama’s schedule to speak at High Point Solutions Stadium in New Brunswick will add a special tone to Rutgers University’s 250 anniversary.
And of June 2, Obama will give the commencement speech at the USAF in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
