Singh followed up his pro debut last month, when he smashed Sonny Whiting at the Manchester Arena, with another destructive display, but in less than half the time, as he pummelled Nottingham’s Gillen with big right hands.

Gillen somehow managed to gather himself to fight a tad bit longer but that was just not enough against the nimble-footed Vijender, who managed to corner Gillen with a flurry of combination, throwing him on the ropes. He has already made his debut in Bollywood following his appearance in the film “Fugly”.

The 30-year-old from Haryana is no stranger to the movie world having already starred in the Bollywood film “Fugly” and has also appeared on the reality TV show MTV Hero Roadies X2. “At the moment, most of his (Vijender) learning and development are taking place in the gym”, says Francis Warren from Queensberry Promotions which showcases his fights.

“I’m getting a very good buzz being in Dublin and the town has actually taken me in, I can not await Saturday night time and provides the fans a very good night time of motion”, Vijender stated.

Vijender arrived in the city on 5 November with his Indian promoter Neerav Tomar and trainer Lee Beard.

“I’ve been over as soon as earlier than after the 2012 London Olympics and educated with the Irish novice boxing group and I had an excellent time then, so it is unbelievable to lastly return to truly struggle right here for the primary time and present what I can do”, he added. He’s another challenge so he’ll make me raise my game and perform.
