Ryan Lochte Issues Somewhat Sincere Apology For Being A Dickhead In Rio

“I want to offer a honest apology to the United States Olympic Committee, USA Swimming, the extraordinary women and men of Team USA, and the University of Georgia”.

The International Olympic Committee has set up a disciplinary commission to investigate the incident involving Ryan Lochte and three of his USA swimming teammates at a Rio de Janeiro gas station.

Lochte’s statement came as criticism of him poured in for causing such a huge and unnecessary distraction at the world’s premier sporting event, a competition watched by billions of people.

Olympic swimmer and gold medalist Ryan Lochte has issued an official apology after the alleged Rio Olympics robbery fiasco, but a quick look at social media suggests that his plan to make amends has backfired, big-time. This freaky story has turned out to be a ridiculous lie, and today Lochte issued an apology concerning the incident, but he still didn’t acknowledge that he made the story up. By saying “It’s traumatic to be out late with your friends in a foreign country – with a language barrier – and have a stranger point a gun at you and demand money to let you leave”, it sounds like Lochte is subliminally sticking to his robbery story.

The charity, the Reaction Institute, said Feigen’s lawyer had already contacted them about making the payment. Bentz says he was the one who urged everyone to do as they were told, which included paying about $70 to the men in exchange for being allowed to leave. Police still want to speak to Lochte, who was also summonsed to appear before the judge on Friday, and say they hope to agree with US authorities to interview him in the United States.

Bentz, who said he never gave a false account to police, and Conger arrived in Miami on Friday on an American Airlines flight.

Lochte left the country before Brazilian officials could detain him, but Feigen, Bentz and Conger were not so lucky. Brazil and Rio have staged a great Games, and it was a privilege to be there and to represent the United States of America.

It’s good to be back home in the U.S. Participating in the Olympics was a wonderful experience, and I want to express my appreciation to Brazil and to Rio de Janeiro for being wonderful hosts.

Bentz said he suggested everyone to go back to the taxi, but when they did, two men told them to get out of the vehicle.
