Ryan Lochte ‘little hurt’ after ‘incident’ on DWTS

They had rushed the stage while Lochte was getting his scores from judge Carrie Ann Inaba for his debut performance during Monday night’s live installment of the celebrity ballroom dance competition. The show immediately moved to commercials, after which Tom Bergeron said that the show was interrupted by “a little incident”.

HollywoodLifers, what do you think of Ryan and Cheryl becoming closer from the protester attack?

The two men who came on stage were identified as Barzeen Soroudi and Sam Sotoodeh, and they were indeed trying to make everyone remember a certain pee-stained gas station and how Lochte is unsafe to America, according to Hollywood Life. Lochte has been under fire in recent weeks for claims he made about being robbed at gunpoint during the Rio summer Olympic games last month, a claim he later recanted.

The incident came as Lochte, widely reviled for lying about an altercation with gas station attendants during the Rio Olympics, is trying to waltz his way back into the nation’s heart. “And I came out with a big smile, and I had the best dance partner”. The pair, who were wearing shirts that said “Lochte” with a red circle and slash through the name, were tackled by security and arrested for trespassing. “We’ve worked so hard and I just want Ryan to have a positive experience”. The swimmer later expressed his disappointment, sharing, “So many feelings are going through my head right now”. Lochte later admitted that he “over-exaggerated” the story.

Lochte had hoped that appearing on Dancing With the Stars would rehabilitate his image, while ABC was eager to capitalize on the buzz, good and bad, around Lochte.

“We didn’t agree obviously with Walt Disney Company choosing Lochte to represent Americans”, Soroudi said in a video interview obtained by TMZ from AKM-GSI.

In the aftermath, Lochte lost all four of his sponsors and was suspended from United States swimming competition for 10 months.

The cell phone footage reveals that four female protesters were seated in the audience and continued to boo Lochte as the events were unfolding onstage.
