“I know it will probably take us a few weeks to put this incident behind us, but I know Ryan wants to move forward and he’s not going to let this bring him down”, Burke wrote.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — The protesters who ambushed Ryan Lochte on “Dancing with the Stars” are defending their actions after being released from jail.

Lochte’s debut on the live USA reality TV show Dancing with the Stars was interrupted earlier this week when the two men, Sam Sotoodeh and Barzeen Soroudi, forced their way onto the dance floor.

Sotoodeh and Soroudi jumped in front of the judges and DWTS host Tom Bergeron wearing white anti-Lochte T-shirts during the broadcast.

Sam Sotoodeh, 59, and Barzeen Soroudi, 25, stormed the stage to protest Lochte’s casting in the reality show and were tackled by the show’s security personnel. But it looks like Ryan Lochte might just be OK after all. “I have gotten so much love from everyone on the show, including my partner Cheryl, my fellow competitors, the producers, the security teams and its fans”.

Burke did not mention anything about Lochte being unable to perform on the show, although it is expected that this may become an obstacle for the couple during their practice.

“The first thing he did was turn to me and say, ‘I’m so sorry.’ I just told him, ‘Never tell me you’re sorry again”.

Cheryl Burke also chimed in on her Facebook page expressing her feelings about the protest and Ryan. “No one deserves that sort of behavior directed at them”. The two were arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor trespassing.

U.S. Swimmer and Rio Gold Medalist Ryan Lochte is trying to fix his career after fabricating a story of a robbery that happened during the Rio Olympics that eventually lost him multiple endorsements and got him a 10-month suspension.

These days, Ryan Lochte is opening up about the traumatic experience. “I came out here and I wanted to do something I was completely uncomfortable with, and I did”. “He embarrassed Americans on the world’s stage and this was our form of protesting”.
