Ryan Lochte’s ‘Dancing with the Stars’ debut interrupted by protesters
But two dedicated protesters reminded us of that fact on Monday night, rushing the stage during Lochte’s performance on Dancing With The Stars, getting within inches of the swim star.

But as she does so audience members started yelling and suddenly two men jumped up to the dancers’ stage. They were also shouting “Liar” at Lochte.
Dancing host Tom Bergeron can also be heard reacting to the incident, saying, “Alright, wow!”
Both protesters were arrested for trespassing.
They were tackled by security, one of the protesters bumping into Lochte and Burke on their way to the floor.
Watch above via ABC’s GMA. Truly, this was a touching moment between the two of them.
Lopez says no one was injured or listed as a victim in the incident.
Lochte has been the subject of negative publicity and public derision after he admitted to exaggerating claims that he and fellow US swimming teammates had been robbed at gunpoint during the Rio Olympics.
“This is my home and I was just so shocked that people would come here and be so negative”, Hough told People after the show Monday.
Lochte described himself as a “little hurt” after the protest. The couple had just finished a performance when the two men who were sporting t-shirts with a large “NO” sign over Lochte’s name leaped on stage in an attempt to get to the Olympic swimmer. They later claimed they were threatened and robbed. The swimmer was asked if he was okay and he shared that there were a lot of feelings going through his head, but that he was doing good.
The United States team officials banned Lochte for 10 months, forcing him to miss the 2017 world championships. “A little hurt but, you know, I came out here and wanted to do something that I’m completely not comfortable with and I did and I came out here with a big smile”. I want other people to put it behind them, and I want to move forward.
