Ryan Lochte to Michael Phelps
He tied with Chad le Clos. “You just have no idea how hard it is for anybody to win an Olympic gold medal”, Bowman said. He now finishes his career with 27 overall Olympic medals, with 22 of them gold.

Singapore had only previously won Olympic medals in table tennis and weightlifting, but it struck gold through Schooling, who illustrated why he was a pre-race favourite to win in 50.39.
“I’ll clarify, Ryan (Lochte) doesn’t know what he’s talking about; I’m not coming back in 2020. Michael, I’ll see you in Tokyo”, Lochte said. “He’s in such a good place personally”.
A stunner at the Rio Olympics: Michael Phelps has been beaten.
Phelps doesn’t look like he has this one in him. “I think this is a life anyone can dream of, and I’m definitely living it”.
“I apologise, I got my lanes mixed up”. Leonidas of Rhodes, who won his Olympic golds in 200- and 400-meter dashes and a shield-carrying race in the 152, 156, 160 and 164 BC Games.
“I would have liked to have the world record. Phelps might not even make the podium”.
Rio de Janeiro – Chad le Clos leaves the Rio Olympics with two silver medals to his name – an achievement his is proud of but far from happy with.
First he tied an ancient sports record at the Rio Olympics.
“I think I used too much energy in the front half and that kind of hurt me towards the end”. I thought, “Wow, I only have to put a racing suit on two more times after tonight and I only have to warm down one more time after tonight”. “I just wish I would have ended up better”, pointed out Lochte.
But like most legends, Phelps didn’t start out this way. And he won’t need swimming in the next four years in the same way.

Phelps and Lochte teamed up with Conor Dwyer and Townley Haas to take gold in the men’s 4×200-meter freestyle relay earlier this week.
