The Ravens will sign Mallett to a deal worth up to $2.5 million in 2016, according to NFL Media.

O’Brien was originally rebuffed by Houston GM Rick Smith, who didn’t want to go into the Dolphins game with just one healthy quarterback, but just a couple days later the Texans made a decision to waive Mallett and sign T.J. Yates as their backup.
There was no immediate confirmation of the signing from the team. The 6-foot Rolle was one of several players Ravens coach John Harbaugh said could get a chance to play cornerback over the last few weeks of the season. “If that happens in the near future, that would be great”.
On Sunday Jimmy Clausen started for the Ravens and Bryn Renner backed him up.
Mallet, who started four games for the Texans this season and two the previous year, was cut after he was late for the team’s charter flight to a game.
Mallett has been a free agent since he was dropped by the Texans after Week 7.
The Ravens have lost Joe Flacco for the season following knee surgery and backup Matt Schaub has a chest injury.
Mallett earlier in the year missed a practice, which he blamed on his oversleeping.

Mallett completed 78 of 147 passes for 770 yards and 3 touchdowns with 4 interceptions with the Texans this season.
