Ryan Mallett To Be Texans’ QB On Sunday; Brian Hoyer Benched

Smith passed for 243 yards and three touchdowns and Kansas City took immediate advantage of two critical Houston turnovers in its 27-20 victory over the Houston Texans on Sunday at NRG Stadium. Hoyer, making his Texans debut, finished 18 of 34 for 236 yards including a 4-yard, first-quarter touchdown pass to wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins.

In its report, the league said it was more probable than not that McNally and Jastremski “participated in a deliberate effort to release air from Patriots game balls after the balls were examined by the referee”.

“He’s a decisive player”, O’Brien said of newly-minted starterRyan Mallett on Thursday. “They are preparing to play with QB Ryan Mallett as their starter vs. the #Panthers”, Rapoport tweets.

O’Brien had said earlier in the week that he wouldn’t announce a decision until game time. That’s encouraging, but it’d be more encouraging if he had made such declarations about Mallett before the season started, before he expressed confidence that Brian Hoyer was the guy to lead this team. Last year’s top overall pick grew up about 30 minutes from Charlotte in Rock Hill, South Carolina, and Sunday will be his first National Football League game here. “We are slowly incorporating him back into practice”.

“All of them are special to me because I’m out here this year”, Clowney said.

Who do you think should start at quarterback for the Texans on Sunday? We’re going to continue to support each other and be in each other’s corner like I was last week, he’ll do the same thing for me.

If I, too, find myself leaning Atlanta’s way it is because of how much better their ground game appears to be.

After the game, Hoyer assumed responsibility and was blunt, saying, “That’s coach’s decision, and I can see why he did that”. I started working even harder after that. He also lost a fumble.

Everyone from the Carolinas talked about all the friends and family coming to watch them on Sunday. He started two games for the Texans in 2014 before a season-ending pectoral injury.
