Bryan played 26 holes in 10 under Friday at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Ill., birdieing three of the final holes to finish off a first-round 66 and shooting a 64 in the second to reach 12-under 130.

“I didn’t come in with any expectations at all”, Gillis said.

After the pair exchanged three consecutive pars, Martin needed to birdie the last to put any kind of pressure on Moore but tentatively dragged his putt wide to sign for a 68. 12, 13 and 14 to whittle the deficit to two.

With a number of the PGA Tour’s biggest stars contesting at the Rio Olympics, Johnson has a great opportunity to win his first title of 2016 and win the Classic for the second time.

I expected it to be worse. “When you’re a journeyman player, you don’t get a lot of chances like that”.

“He doesn’t let stuff faze him”.

“Frustrating. Long. Stale. Very stale”, Johnson said.

Moore carded a bogey-free four-under-par 67 to finish the tournament at 22 under in Silvis, Illinois.

“It was definitely a special week, one that I will always remember”, said Danielson, who hopes to play next in two weeks on the Web.com Tour with an eye on the junior circuit’s 2017 qualifying tournament in December. “I don’t think he really ever sniffed a bogey”. “You can’t play defense in golf”.

Moore admitted he never felt comfortable. It’s tough to control your ball out of the fairway.

With no lift, clean and place like Rounds 2 and 3, it was a shot that definitely had Moore’s attention with water left of the green.

“It was solid. I capitalized on the shots that I did get around the holes”.

Ogilvy was striking his irons well to hit every green in regulation on the front nine and was level with the clubhouse leaders, before dropping a shot on the par-four 10th.

The approach landed 47 feet short of the pin.

Morgan Hoffman and Ben Martin each shot 62 to pull within a stroke at 17 under.

Moore, meanwhile, was 62nd in the FedEx Cup standings. The first groups are scheduled to off at 7:30 a.m.

Injuries have plagued Moore throughout his career.

Moore had birdies on the second, fourth, ninth and 10th holes on Sunday.

“I’m comfortable here, that goes without saying”, Johnson said. Stoelting also has two victories this year.

He credits Jakovac, an accomplished amateur player, for giving him advice to add the event back to his schedule.

Moore said after the win he did not feel he was safely over the line until he holed the last putt. “I know how they support events in our state”.
