Ryan-Nehlen primary tomorrow
While Nehlen likely won’t win the primary election – he’s down almost 50 percentage points to Ryan – he has drawn the attention of some of the more bombastic conservative firebrands, including commentator Ann Coulter and Republican presidential nominee Trump. The Republican presidential nominee has in recent weeks lifted Nehlen from obscurity by praising him on Twitter and vacillated dramatically before endorsing Ryan in muted remarks Friday at a rally in Green Bay, Wis.

Nehlen said he would support immigration policy consisting of deportation and beefed up security, such as drones, sensors and equipment, at the U.S. -Mexico border.
“I’m really excited about this”, Ryan said to cheers from the workers. Nehlen said.”Are you suggesting that we deport all of the Muslims in this country?” the radio host asked.
Wisconsin Assembly Republican Majority Leader Jim Steineke tweeted that Nehlen was a “special kind of stupid” and Assembly Speaker Robin Vos on Friday called him a bigot. “If Paul Ryan is re-elected, if he’s sent back to Congress, he will push for the biggest amnesty in this country’s history; and immediately after his re-election, he will push Obama’s jailbreak crime agenda”.
In the upcoming primary, Ryan finds himself facing a challenger with similarities to the candidate he has pledged to support for president.
Nehlen drew ire for his comments about Muslims while on AM 560’s “Morning Answer”, The Daily Beast reports.
“You were at Packers training camp”, a worker said.
The flaming wreck that is the on-again/off-again controversy between Donald Trump and Paul Ryan appears to be grinding to a halt just before Tuesday’s primary election in Wisconsin’s 1st Congressional District.
The race has attracted a great deal of national attention, and several prominent conservative activists have weighed in on Nehlen’s behalf.
Both declined to attend, as did Ryan.
Milwaukee County District Attorney John Chisholm faces a Democratic primary opponent, as does former U.S. Sen.
The sparring between Donald Trump and Paul Ryan is well-documented.
Paul Ryan betrayed us on trade-pushing policies that shutter Wisconsin factories and ship our jobs overseas. “His support comes from Wisconsinites. I never heard of him”.

Ryan went on to note that he has exceeded his fundraising goals as he readies his members for the fall campaign. Some 84 percent of Republicans and Republican-leaning voters viewed the speaker favorably, compared with 49 percent who viewed Trump favorably.
