Ryan Reynolds calls ‘Deadpool’ a ‘game changer’ for superhero films
While Reynolds is unbelievable however, there are several would-be interesting side-characters that mostly just feel like missed opportunities. For now I want to stay focused on the fun.

“There was a lot of me there”, he told Buzzfeed. It was literally a nightmare experience to sit through.
The best joke Deadpool makes at the expense of superhero movies is in its opening credits.
The movie does have some of the usual superhero conventions, though. After all, without Captain America: The Winter Soldier coming out, we wouldn’t have seen Guardians of the Galaxy; without Avengers, we wouldn’t have Ant-Man.
Do you think Fox should prioritize an X-Force movie? In the future, I hope we get to do that more.
Reynolds recently opened up about the rigours of bringing the project to the big screen after studio officials initially feared the script was too dark and violent.
Former Special Forces operative Wade Wilson (Reynolds) is a low-rent assassin for hire, who works out of a bar called Sister Margaret’s Home For Wayward Girls run by his wise-cracking buddy Weasel (TJ Miller).
Before I went in to see Deadpool, I knew only what the off-the-wall fantastic marketing team had told me. Shattered by the diagnosis, he accepts the evil Ajax’s (Ed Skrein) dubious offer of a cure by receiving super powers that will enable him to heal.

Genius. Not only does that Deadpool throne look wonderful, but the joyful plug at a very R-rated video mixing with a superhero movie is just hilarious. I was perfectly sober for this one though. It was recently announced, for example, that director Steven Spielberg’s science fiction movie “Ready Player One” will come out in the spring of 2018 rather than the end of 2017. It’s surprising that Reynolds would do a movie like Deadpool (or a studio would let him) considering his face is literally covered, and he’s nearly doing a voice-over performance as Deadpool (Reynolds isn’t as physically distinct as some actors, so I honestly have no idea how much of Deadpool is played by him). Colossus (Stefan Kapicic) from the X-Men turns up to play straight man in a couple of scenes, along with a sullen kid named Negasonic Teenage Warhead (Brianna Hildebrand). They’re commodified and expensive – even if Deadpool’s budget is reportedly lower than the norm – and they have to serve many masters, guided more by the vision of executives focused on global markets and planning years out than they are by filmmakers trying to make a good standalone picture. Deadpool is a love letter to anyone who has read the comic series, making for some great one-liners, quips and action scenes that despite a somewhat haphazard tone, results in a more than worthy origin movie for the merc with a mouth.
