Sa’Fyre Terry receives thousands of Christmas cards
So for a full week in February, Safyre, her aunt, uncle, and cousins will travel from NY to Florida and enjoy all the amusement parks the state has to offer, including, of course, a visit to Cinderella’s castle.

She hoped to get enough cards to fill a Christmas card tree purchased at a thrift store by her aunt.
Not only have strangers around the world sent her cards, but they have launched a crowdfunding campaign for Safyre to help with her medical costs.
CHRISTINE DELGALLO: I think what’s absolutely most important is just giving her the stability to know that there are a lot of people that love her, you know, we can never take away that painful night, and that we will be there to hold her hand every step of the way. She didn’t expect much of a response.
Along with the cards, the little survivor received more than 3,000 packages, as well as a trip to Disney World.
Reilly said it was “the most mail we’ve ever gotten for a single person in Schenectady”.
On Monday, WNYT reports that Safyre was treated with one more well-deserved holiday surprise, courtesy of a local charity and a big-hearted little boy.
“It’s like everyone’s come together for Sa’fyre”, Dolder said.
Family friend Bill Ryan has been helping to open the letters.
“I thought that was awesome”, Bonomo said. Her postmaster says the cards just keep on coming. If you’ve already shed a tear or two (those dang onions, right?) prepare to shed a few more.

Safyre’s request for Christmas cards from around the world went viral last week, inundating her with mail.
