Sabres’ Kane pleads not guilty to charges in NY bar incident
Kane’s brushes with the law in Buffalo dates back to December 27 when he was accused of sexual assault, but the charges were dropped in March. Once she was in the room, which belonged to Kane, Court says she was attacked and suffered “serious, permanent and painful personal injuries” that have required multiple surgeries.

The lawsuit claims Kane’s physical contact was “unwanted, unconsented to, violent and offensive in nature physical battery”.
Evander Kane arrived in Buffalo today, and pleaded not guilty at his arraignment this morning at Buffalo City Court.
Kane was charged with misdemeanor criminal trespass, non-criminal disorderly conduct and four counts of non-criminal harassment a few weeks ago due to a late night altercation at a local bar.
Kane did not speak during his court appearance, with his attorney entering the plea for him.
The arrest and charges are in connection with an incident at Bottoms Up bar on Chippewa in June. He denied all allegations and continued to play throughout the criminal investigation.
Acting Erie County District Attorney Michael Flaherty said his office will treat Kane as any other defendant.

According to the complaints given to police by the three women, Kane either pulled their hair or grabbed them by neck during encounters inside the bar. He scored 20 goals and added 15 assists in 65 games last season.
