Sad news: Sam and Nia, couple in viral pregnancy video, announce miscarriage

“We were just so overjoyed, and then it just – bam. The Bible says to weep with those who weep and to mourn with those who mourn, and I’m mourning with those of you who are feeling this”, said Nia. In the original video posted August 5, Sam Rader appears to surprise his wife, Nia, by revealing her pregnancy to her.
The couple posted a video last week, since seen over 11 million times, announcing the pregnancy.
But thanks to their success – which includes more than 62,000 likes on Facebook and more than 318,000 YouTube subscribers – Sam also announced that he was able to quit his job. “I never, ever, ever knew that women felt that way”.
“I stood up and I felt empty”, Nia said. “I hugged them tighter, I kissed them longer”.
“We’ve reached out to the drivers, and one of our senior executives went to the store to apologize to them in person”, she told the Post.
“I just hope this video continues to be a way for God to shine His light to the world through us”, said Sam. “This is a time when, especially the U.S., needs that light and God knew that, and this video is just getting so big”. Thereâs no question.’ Nia says she can now relate to those who have experienced miscarriages and takes comfort in knowing she not alone in how she and Sam are feeling.
In a later interview with People Magazine, the pair revealed that telling their 5-year-old daughter about the loss was hardest of all.

Three days later, the couple announced in a heartbreaking video that Nia had a miscarriage.
