Saints cornerback Williams carted off with neck injury

Jenkins, who signed a five-year, $62.5 million deal with $29 million guaranteed with the Giants this offseason, had a major impact in Sunday’s 16-13 win over the Saints.

The Giants lost fumbles on three consecutive possessions for the first time since 1983. With Pierre-Paul out, the Giants could have a hard time keeping Drew Brees’ and Co.in check as well, so look for this game to be high-scoring. The Giants then missed a field goal on their first drive of the second half, as penalties stalled a promising drive.

Perhaps most unusual was the final score. For a second time, the Giants had the Saints outnumbered and had a blitzer come clean. The average score of their last four meetings had been 51-32, including a 52-49 Saints victory a year ago in the Superdome. Instead of facing a rookie quarterback in his first game, they’ll have to lock in on the Saints’ high-octane offense and a quarterback in Drew Brees, who will one day be in the Hall of Fame.

OUR PICK: The Saints are the ideal “over” team thanks to an explosive offense and a defense that figures to be a sieve again for yet another season. “We’re too good. We need to be – that shouldn’t be something we’re discussing in Week 2 of the season”. “Special teams made a big play”.

A cart quickly came onto the field, but Williams was attended to by trainers for almost six minutes. The game ended with neither team scoring 20 points. McAdoo has looked poised under pressure through his first two games, and while the offense still needs to find their rhythm, the Giants faithful have to be happy with the performance of the “New look” Giants.

The teams will face off Sunday at MetLife Stadium in a Week 2 game. Regardless of the defense he’s facing, it’s clear that he has a significant role in the offense and has gained Manning’s trust early on.

Next Week: The Saints entertain the Atlanta Falcons on MNF while the Giants will host the Washington Redskins. Made some big plays.

Mark Ingram only gained 30 yards on the ground, and the Saints failed utterly at establishing the run. “It’s been a couple of years”.

The Giants were able to overcome three turnovers in the game, as Eli Manning, Shane Vereen, and Victor Cruz all suffered fumbles.

“I feel like we have guys that can match up”, said Janoris Jenkins, who held Dez Bryant to one catch for 8 yards.

Crawley had inside position on Cruz, but the receiver simply used his smarts and experience and outmuscled the youngster for the ball.

“They played fantastic, whistle to snap”, McAdoo said. “It was a real test to basically shut them down”. “Gave me a fly route on the outside. He did a great job at making a tough catch”.

We all know the margin for error is so thin in the National Football League, one play here or there can determine the outcome of a game, and one game can determine a playoff berth. Eli has confidence in him. Giants -4. Over on the point total.

“I was very happy about that”, Brown said.
