Cam Newton threw five touchdown passes as the Carolina Panthers celebrated their NFC South division title with a dramatic late 41-38 win away to New Orleans Saints this morning.

In 2014, the Carolina Panthers began their current 16-game winning streak by amassing 497 yards in a 41-10 blowout of the New Orleans Saints at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. New Orleans has a 4-7 record for the season, far below its contender expectations.
STUMBLING AND BUMBLING: While New Orleans’ offense ranks third in the National Football League, the Saints have scored only 27 points during the past 10 quarters.

Newton hit Ted Ginn Jr and Devin Funchess, both from 13 yards, to give Carolina a handy lead but Brees matched him with touchdown passes to Brandin Cooks and Brandon Coleman as the topsy-turvy game turned back towards New Orleans.
