The Titans cut the lead to 21-20 midway through the third quarter on a 29-yard field goal by Succop. As always, New Orleans knows how to throw a (birthday) party. Behind this unit, the Titans rushed for 112 total yards, and Mariota was sacked zero times.
Tennessee could have taken the lead late in the first half, but running back Dexter McCluster fumbled the ball at the Saints’ 13 after being hit by linebacker David Hawthorne. It’s hard to tell without seeing it on the film, if the trajectory was low, if the hold was clean.
