Saints Sign Former L.A. Rams LB James Laurinaitis
James Laurinaitis has agreed to a deal with the New Orleans Saints, Rand Getlin of NFL.com reports.

New Orleans Saints wide receiver Marques Colston (12) is tackled by St. Louis Rams linebacker James Laurinaitis during the second half of a game at the Louisiana Superdome.
He never missed a start in seven seasons with the Rams, playing 112 games and making 853 tackles, 16.5 sacks and 10 interceptions.
Aaron Wilson covers the Texans for The Houston Chronicle.
Laurinaitis should help improve a defense that was absolutely atrocious in 2015. The son of WWE wrestling legend Joe Laurinaitis – better known as Road Warrior Animal – James was destined for an athletic career.
However, one intriguing option (and perhaps one the Saints are considering) is moving Stephone Anthony to the “Will” / weakside position (Anthony can and has played EVERY LB spot during his career).
Even though there’s experience in the secondary with veteran cornerback Keenan Lewis and safety Jairus Byrd, Laurinaitis instantly adds experience to a unit dominated by play from rookies last season.

But the Saints can figure out the lineup shuffle in the coming months.
