Sakho Still Has Future At Reds, Reckons Klopp

Despite the man advantage Liverpool struggled to create a meaningful chance as the petered out and Jurgen Klopp’s men suffered their first pre-season defeat. In general the biggest problem for me is that Marko Grujic is in hospital (with concussion).

The two English clubs clashed here in Pasadena, with Antonio Conte’s new team taking the honours after they exploited some set-piece weakness from their opponents.

“There’s still that excitement and buzz around him”.

“I am pleased to train him and when today you can have a substitution of Cuadrado and Pedro to replace Willian and (Victor) Moses, it is good for Chelsea”. I don’t think it was too hard.

The former Arsenal midfielder returned from an extended break last week after Fabregas was part of the Spain side that lost 2-0 to Italy in the last 16 of the European championship.

And, speaking after his team’s 1-0 reverse, Klopp revealed he is yet to learn the full extent of the damage in a situation he described as “not cool”.

Despite the tackle and claiming that “it was far from a friendly game”, Klopp was happy with the intensity shown by both sides as they continue their Premier League preparations.

“I think that in this period, the fatigue sometimes can [cause a player] to go too late in the situation”. We saw a competitive game between two teams that didn’t want to lose. It is certainly something that everyone is getting used to and will hopefully put us in good stead for the season.

Klopp said there was no falling out with Sakho and it was unlikely the club will fine the 26-year-old.

“The best player of the last season is good to know but it is more interesting trying to find out who will be the best next year”.

“The season start at this moment is not in doubt”. We are little bit disappointed about the result, but from the performance I can take a lot of good things.
