Sale said he first told the team he did not want to pitch in those particular uniforms, which have collars and are created to be worn untucked, back in spring training. Chicago’s ace told Scott Merkin of MLB.com he did not want those uniforms to be in the team’s plans on a day he was scheduled to start.
