Ali Abbas Zafar, the director of his upcoming film Sultan, declared in an interview today that upcoming film Dangal, which also revolves around wrestling, will be a better film than Sultan! This drift made Aamir angry on Salman Khan as Aamir wanted Sultan to be released next year.

As freaky as it may sound but when “Sultan’s filmmaker Ali Abbas Zafar wrote the film’s first draft in 2012, he had titled it “Dangal”.
Now, Sultan will be releasing this Eid and Dangal in December. Now, it is being said that Aamir Khan is not at all happy with the trailer of Salman Khan’s “Sultan”. Though the superstars have claimed both the movies are entirely different, “Sultan” director Ali Abbas Zafar admits that there is an uncanny resemblance in both movies.
“It’s freaky when I wrote this script, I had no idea that there was any other film that was ever going to get made on wrestling”. Sources also told us that Aditya Chopra had ensured Aamir that his film with Salman would not release till Dangal’s release.
But finally, it was Sultan that went as the final title, named after the lead character like in Salman’s National Award-winning film Bajrangi Bhaijaan.

Not only this but, we hear that the man known as Mr. Perfectionist has been having restless nights over the Sultan trailer. He titled it Dangal because the word apparently means “wrestling competition”. “It was with Ramesh Taurani”, revealed Ali, adding, “But Taurani gave the title rights up for Salman’s sake”. When the filmmaker travelled to Haryana in 2012 for the film’s research, found “Dangal” a charming and honest title for Salman starrer film.
