Salman Khan: The Khan family celebrates Ganesh Chaturthi every year and their pooja is attended by celebrities from all walks of life.
Nevertheless, the Khan Khandaan welcomed their Ganpati yesterday and sister Arpita Khan Sharma kept us updated with the pictures she posted on her Instagram account.
As per tradition, a Lord Ganesha idol is immersed in sea after 1, 5 or 11 days of Ganesh Chaturthi. Thousands of devotees part with Ganpati Bappa with hopes in their eyes, requesting him to visit their homes again the next year. Iqbal Qureshi has been making Ganesha idols for the past 18 years, spreading the message of communal harmony through his work. The water is later used to water the garden.
Apart from family celebrations, many people were seen at the Sarvajanik Ganesh Utsav across Goa in large numbers, singing and chanting “Ganpati Bappa Morya”.
