Bollywood performer Anushka Sharma has been selected as the female lead role with Salman Khan for the up and coming film Sultan.
The 27-year-old, who has also worked with Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan in the past, is all praise for the “Dabangg” star. In an interview, Salman had said that it is a romantic film.
The rumour of Anushka’s involvement first surfaced a few months ago but then she denied, saying she was never offered the film. Latest reports suggest that the Yash Raj Films favourite has just bagged one of the most precious projects of 2016, Sultan opposite none other than Salman Khan. Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, the movie narrates the life of a wrestler. “For the very first time, she’ll essay a character somewhat older than her age and it is a hallmark shift from her girl-next door type of characters”. Training in mixed martial arts and wrestling, Salman will also be seen keeping up a specific look all through the film.

Apparently, Sharma will also use the prosthetics expert looking after Salman Khan’s look in the film. “After three weeks”, the khabroo reveals. But the biggest plus point is that she is athletic, she understands the language and the mannerisms and it will be easy for her to get into the skin of the character. “She is going to be getting a rigorous learning the sport in the forthcoming three weeks and can join up with the cast on the sets post that”, he adds.
