Salman thanks fans for making ‘Sultan’ a hit!

Bollywood’s new king, Salman Khan is delighted that his admirers liked his stint as a wrestler in his latest release “Sultan”. The sports-drama film – featuring the actor as a wrestler – has minted Rs 180.36 crore in its special five-day opening weekend and is setting new benchmarks for Bollywood, according to experts. While it’s his Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’s Rs 39 crore opening day that holds the record, Sultan netted in around Rs 38 crore on Saturday. Since “Bodyguard” in 2011, it can be noted that Salman Khan has been dominating numero uno position during the Eidul Fitr weekends. Being the only movie to release on the occasion of Eid 2016, Sultan received an undivided attention of the masses and the classes.

Sultan has been exceptional in overseas, and the movie is expected to collect Rs 350 crores in its first week across the globe. Another crime investigator has reportedly claimed that the 2 hours 36 minute-long movie was available online and media houses have also shared various screenshots of the film. He also mentioned that Salman Khan and his team had contacted him for the movie but Saber refuses and denied them to make any movie on his life’s story.

Sultan is also the highest Eid weekend grosser, after it crossed the record of Bajrangi Bhaijaan (Rs 102.5 crore). Let’s have a look at day-wise Box Office collection of Sultan.

Sultan has the highest 4-day collection ever.

The film’s stupendous performance worldwide has already given it a place in the top 10 worldwide grosser’s list. In seven days flat, Sultan will enter 200 Crore Club.

When it comes to Rajini things such as box office numbers, physicality or age fade into the background and the cult of the “Thalaivar” takes over.
