Salmonella outbreak sickens six Albertans
The Public Health Agency of Canada is still trying to pinpoint the source of the outbreak.

The agency says 34 people have become sick, but hasn’t identified the source.
“To date, the source of this investigation has not been identified, but the investigation is ongoing, and Canadians will continue to be updated as new information becomes available”.
A total of 8 provinces are affected including British Columbia (3), Alberta (6), Saskatchewan (2), Manitoba (2), Ontario (16), Quebec (3) Nova Scotia (1), and New Brunswick (1). No deaths were reported.
No cases related to the current investigation have been reported in Huron County, Perth County or Grey-Bruce County. It’s usually transmitted when you eat contaminated foods. Two cases were hospitalized, and are recovered or recovering.
Symptoms of salmonella infection include fever, chills, diarrhea, abdominal cramps, headache, nausea, and vomiting.
