Salvation Army Captain Claudia Roseno says the program not only helps the children, but also their families during the holiday season.

Greg Coleman said they’ve been doing this for 20 years.
“I think it’s good for the kids to participate because it gives them humility”, Ms. Bruckner said.

“As it’s the Salvation Army’s 150th birthday this year we’re hoping this year’s present appeal will be our biggest yet”.
When more people volunteer just a small fraction of their time, it helps the organization draw closer to the Red Kettle Campaign goal of raising $145,000 – comprised of kettle donations and additional contributions. “We can do our best to help you”, Eisley said. “So the turkey need was met, which was great, by the community”.

“There’s a lot of people in this world that don’t have as much as we do”. We need people who are willing to put in a little time each day to come in and help restock shelves and make sure everything is presentable and out so people can see what the toys are. “It’s our way to give back, one full day to serve our people here in the Valley”.
