Salvation Army Volunteers Prep For Thanksgiving Dinner
Meals were handed out up until noon this morning for those unable to prepare a meal themselves. “To get to that goal, we need bell ringers”, said Esmeralda Casas, the Salvation Army spokeswoman. “We really do need the help”, The Salvation’s Army Youth Worker, Melissa Henderson.

For 24 years now, the Salvation Army has been serving elderly in the Omaha Metro area with Thanksgiving meals.
With loud renditions of classic Christmas carols, the Salvation Army enlisted a school-full of Regina children to kick-off their Christmas Kettle campaign this year.
“We’re grateful for the support from our community, who selflessly donate toys each year”.
Volunteers are needed every day, except Sundays, between now and Christmas Eve.
This Thanksgiving, the Jimmie Hale Mission had 77 families deliver 390 meals.
Volunteers opened the doors at 11 and say they went through nearly 250 plates within an hour.
Miss Queen of the Pacific 2015 Kylie Diosa Duenas says, “I’m definitely humbled”.
The annual bell ringing campaign is a major fundraiser for We Care, according to Fisher, who said previous year the campaign brought in about $17,000 to the organization.
The brunch will be prepared by students of the Victory Trade School and will be served by volunteers.
The trees have tags hanging on them with information on a child in need in Clarksville-Montgomery County.

“We actually stopped taking in volunteers because we got so many”, said Maj. “Here we become their loved ones, so to be able to give them something as a traditional dinner is very rewarding”.
