Sam Allardyce Hails ‘Superhuman’ Seamus Coleman On His Everton Return

Arsenal’s hectic January is over and the Gunners can finally focus on the remainder of their season, starting with Saturday’s match against Everton.

A hectic January transfer window ended with the arrival of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in a club-record deal from Borussia Dortmund so fans will be hoping to see the striker in action tomorrow night. I’m sure he’ll get a very good reception when he goes back to the Emirates.

Santi Cazorla remains the only long-term absentee for Arsenal, who will welcome back Jack Wilshere, who missed the previous game with an illness. Meanwhile, Aubameyang could feature despite suffering with a minor fever. Ashley Williams or Mason Holgate – the younger centre half played against Spurs and didn’t come out that game too well – could come back into the team or Allardyce may decide to hand an immediate debut to new loan signing, Eliaqium Mangala.

Everton had Theo Walcott to thank after his double sunk Leicester in midweek, and the English winger is set to start against his former side.

Great to have you back, Seamus.

Wednesday’s 2-1 win over Leicester City took Everton past the 30-point mark, and they are a healthy eight points clear of the dropzone.

Supporters were impressed with the effort the defender showed during the game, especially since his serious injury, with many believing he represented the club as a true Evertonian.

The Premier League returns to its more usual spot at the weekend as the league continues to heat up.

Arsenal have not kept a Premier League clean sheet in their last seven games and have conceded 34 goals – the most of the top seven teams in each of Europe’s big five leagues.

“But he has struggled and that is what can happen in your first season in the Premier League”. Everton, despite their new signings in the attack, will find it hard to record a victory, especially at the Emirates. Arsenal might not possess the same quality or fear factor as years gone by, but there is more than enough quality available to pick a still makeshift Everton defence apart if the away side merely turn up in damage-limitation mode.
