Minnesota Vikings quarterback Shaun Hill passes against the Tennessee Titans in the first half of an NFL football game Sunday, Sept. 11, 2016, in Nashville, Tenn.

Zimmer said Hill did a good job, and Sam Bradford has been studying up as well. “There are so many things we have to fix right now that I can’t wait to get with the coaches tomorrow morning”. “I can’t wait to get with the coaches”.

The turning point came late in the third quarter while trailing Tennessee 10-6, and with the Titans driving.

“The turnovers obviously were catastrophic”, Titans coach Mike Mularkey said. “I’ve never been in a game where you have (not) one turnover, but two for scores and we still felt like we had a chance to win”. Just two days prior to the season opener against the Minnesota Vikings, the anxiety is building. Peterson carried 19 times and couldn’t catch the two passes thrown at him.

“I don’t think we played very well offensively”, Rodgers said. “We just beat ourselves”.

Lining up at wide receiver for Minnesota will be Stefon Diggs, who ended up a steal as a fifth-round draft pick last season.

The Titans were driving trailing 12-10 when Marcus Mariota tried to force a quick throw under pressure only to be picked off by Kendricks who returned it for the TD with 1:24 left in the third quarter. There was a lot of thought that Bradford would be starting for the Vikings because he was traded last week from the Eagles. Also worth noting: The team didn’t find the end zone once in the 10-9 NFC Wild Card Game loss to the Seattle Seahawks. Walsh would go on to sort of redeem himself, knocking down the next four field goals, but missed an extra point. Eric Kendricks had the biggest play of the game, with a 77-yard interception return for a touchdown that turned the tide of the game. “He’s our kicker so there’s no question about that, but he needs to kick better”. The Vikings will have to sort out their offense down the stretch to really contend, but this week’s combination of dynamic defense and cautious offense proved just enough.

Now that they’ve opened with a Week 1 win, they have two things to look forward to this week: Officially opening a new stadium regular season style, and oh yeah, the team they get to play.
