Sam Smith says the Spectre theme song is ‘horrible to sing’
“I thought no one could be better than Pierce Brosnan, he was cool, but the next actor smashed it. I appreciate every single one of them”, he said. For now, he’s preparing himself for an upcoming performance with Disclosure on “Saturday Night Live”. “I almost regret – no, I don’t regret”.

Becoming a cult hit in its own right, the success of the track has seemingly irked Sam Smith’s team.
In an interview with NME, Sam Smith also admitted that he didn’t know much about Bond prior to working on the Spectre theme. When pushed for why, Smith deadpanned, followed with a smile: “It’s just so high”.
“My love life, the downs and ups, it never stops, so I’m always inspired by stuff like that, but it’d be good to spend a few time dating”. I hadn’t seen all the old movies, and I loved how modern his take on Bond was. I have been writing a little bit, and already I’ve found direction on what I want to say and how I want things to sound.
The stage lit up the black tie attire of the performers (actually, Smith is wearing a cream polka dot tie) creating the flawless Bond aesthetic for the performance.

Deciding to turn this into a positive, the band quickly sculpted “Spectre” – an alternative Bond theme, devoid of the bombast normally associated with the franchise.
