Sammy Watkins ‘Definitely’ Will Play, Percy Harvin Placed

Brown also noted Harvin picked up a knee injury this week in addition to his lingering hip problems, and that prompted the Bills to place him on IR. “I had a little tweak, ‘” Watkins said, regarding being held out of practice Friday.

Watkins is officially listed as questionable and did not practice Friday because of ankle soreness, according to ESPN’s Mike Rodak. He caught five passes for 79 yards and a long touchdown in the team’s season-opening victory over the Indianapolis Colts and had 19 grabs through four games.

The receiver was spotted during the early portion of the workout, the only part open to the media, with the ankle heavily taped as he worked off to the side with a member of the team’s training staff. He is known for his speed and elusiveness.

“He’s in the building, I think”, Ryan said at a news conference on Monday. “It just depends on how the game goes”. I’ve got to manage myself and know the game plan (for) me coming in and how to treat my ankle.

The Buffalo Bills ended the season of veteran wide receiver Percy Harvin on Saturday, placing the oft-injured receiver on Injured Reserve.

Watkins is hoping to reverse a hard start to the season. It’s unclear if Watkins is in any danger of missing Sunday’s contest with the Miami Dolphins in wake of this news, since it is possible that he left practice as a precaution.

Harvin hasn’t played with the team since Week 5, and has just 218 receiving yards along with a touchdown this season. Taylor (knee), running back Karlos Williams (concussion) and right tackle Seantrel Henderson (concussion) are all probable and set to return.
