Sammy Watkins responded to the critics questioning his toughness with an Instagram comment that featured a few fairly harsh words.

Sammy Watkins stepped back from his ill-advised comments on Instagram. The latest, an ankle injury, kept Watkins out of Buffalo’s Week 7 loss to the Jaguars in London. From people defending him for having to deal with fans who expect perfection to those criticizing him for the way he handled the situation, there has been no shortage of opinions on the matter. Most of you just wish to be in this position, so continue working your little jobs for the rest of your lives.

The rant lashed out at people who doubted his ability to stay healthy and truly aid the Buffalo Bills team in the long run, something that has undoubtedly frustrated Watkins as he attempts to establish himself in the NFL, especially as others in his draft class – like Odell Beckham Jr. – succeed in the league.

The former Clemson star appeared in all 16 games in his debut season, catching six touchdowns, setting franchise rookie records for receptions (65) and receiving yards (982) and playing through broken ribs and a hip injury that required off-season surgery.

Watkins expressed he is thankful of his fans and thanked many who supported him after he spoke out, but he also realized he will always has critics.

Earlier this month, Watkins called out the Bills for not giving him enough targets and making him look bad.

While Watkins might have deleted the comment, this story might not go away as quickly as he hopes.
