No phone in 2015 was as highly anticipated or as heavily leaked as the iPhone 6S, but it’s finally here and the question now is can it really live up to the weight of its own hype?

Do we have a good one for you today – the original Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge goes up against the new Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+. It should be familiar to Apple fans but it looks like it will be the best version of iOS yet.

iPhone 6s: 4.7-inch Retina display, 1334×750 (326ppi) with 3D Touch. One of the iPhone 6s’ big selling features is its new 3D Touch display.

The available 3D Touch actions within email, messages, maps, and photos were very impressive. Do you guys feel the same way? You can receive notifications on the edges, set your bedtime clock and alarm and reserve spots for your five most used contacts for quick access.

This gives the S6 a pixel density of 577 per inch compared to 326 with the iPhone – a substantial difference, but as the iPhone’s individual pixels can not be seen with the naked eye we have to wonder if there is the need to have a resolution any higher. The Galaxy S6 that was launched with Android 5.0 is upgradeable to 5.1 while Z5 comes with Android 5.1 out of the box. But a amusing thing happened this year: Both companies’ major flagship devices actually deliver smaller batteries than the devices they released last year. It’s denser than the iPhone display, and brighter without being oversaturated like earlier AMOLEDS were.

As for the operating system, Android is constantly improving and that should remain true with the upcoming Android 6.0 Marshmallow but overall the iOS mobile ecosystem, now bannered by iOS 9, will keep its rival playing catch up. Still, Apple stressed that the A9 was up to 70% faster than the iPhone 6’s A8 chip in CPU tasks, as well as 90% faster in games, so it should have a significant edge over the iPhone 6. The 6s Plus comes in 16, 64 and 128 GB storage options. It is powered by the octa-core Exynos 7420 chipset and has 3GB of RAM.

The pictures taken on Galaxy S6 Edge+ are sharp and captures good amount of details. The front-facing snapper comes in at 5 MP, with the display now acting as a flash. That means plenty of power to drive the phone’s feature-rich user experience and handle 4K video recording, multitasking and gaming like a champ; perhaps making it the most powerful phone on the market. This looks like the same kind of software as HTC Zoe: the 6s Plus takes a 1.5 second video either side of the photograph so that you can press on them in the gallery to play a short clip.

In the meantime, we’re looking forward to testing the new iPhones to see how the battery persists in the real world. All should perform very well when it comes to outright speed. As for front shooters, both have 5MP sensors to take high-quality selfies. In reality, much of how an image looks depends on software processing, and this includes low-light pics.

According to the official changelog, which is the same for both smartphones, this update brings new features and improvements into the mix. The fact remains that the battery life on the iPhone 6 is inexcusable. Samsung uses a 5.1-inch screen in the Galaxy S6.

iPhone 6s: Apple has kept the pricing for the iPhone 6s the same as that of the iPhone 6, $199 for the 16GB, $299 for 64GB and $399 for the 128GB version on a 24-month contract. Considering the companies now have multiple models of the flagship, we’ve chose to put the iPhone 6s in the ring with similar flagship models and also the most recently launched.
