Samsung announces Galaxy Note 7 United Kingdom recall

They should be slightly more expensive than customer-used devices, but cheaper than the full $850 price you’d be paying on a brand new Galaxy Note 7. These will probably be the cheapest refurbished Galaxy Note 7 versions that Samsung could sell. But the company has been facing a serious problem with the device these last few days. Samsung has now advised owners of the Galaxy Note 7 to turn off their phones and leave them off until they can be exchanged.

“We have not seen the need to ban the use of the smartphones on flights”, said a ministry official after a meeting with Samsung’s officials.

In a statement posted on the company’s website, Samsung said it was investigating a small number of reported incidents. Samsung take this step because of the Apple’s iPhone 7 launch this month.

Now, an Australian poster to Reddit has claimed that his smartphone had spontaneously exploded while charging, causing damage to their hotel room.

Earlier, Samsung had announced that those who pre-booked the Galaxy Note 7 would get the Gear VR at a special price of Rs 1,990. The homeowner, Mr. Wesley Hartzog, says that he had plugged in his new Galaxy Note 7 in the garage on the fateful day, before driving off to pick up his daughters.

“Phone completely fried… (Samsung) told me this is the first case in Australia”.
