Samsung Australia recalls 50000 Galaxy Note 7 phones
Customers with Galaxy Note7 service related questions can also contact the Samsung customer service team on 0330 7261000. If you see a Note 7 for sale on eBay or other reselling sites, don’t buy it.

Samsung will reportedly seek a third supplier besides the two companies it relies on for smartphone batteries. Either way though, even with costs as high as $1 billion, that represents just under 5 percent of Samsung’s projected net income for the year so the financial impact will be short term. For customers who already have Galaxy Note7 devices, the company will voluntarily replace their current device with a new one over the coming weeks.
“My brand new Note 7 exploded this morning while I was still asleep, it was plugged in and charging”, the man, known as Crushader, said. It’s not 100 per cent though and basically not worth your time. It’s likely that Samsung won’t want to ditch that stock, and Business Korea speculates that Samsung is likely to sell them as refurbished devices.
It is not clear what will become of phones that were resold or imported. Thankfully the number of phones that have been reported to have exploded is but a fraction of the overall phones Samsung has sold, but they are still enough for Samsung to actually recall them. Still, from a safety perspective, you should not take a chance. According to Samsung, there have been 35 separate reports of incidents relating to the battery problem worldwide.
How do you exchange/return your Note 7?
Samsung is recalling and replacing up to 2.5 million Note 7 devices, with almost $1 billion dollar cost to the company.
Further instructions for each method are below. Customers will receive a $25 gift card or bill credit for their inconvenience. Here’s what you need to know if you live in the United Kingdom or Ireland and you’ve already bought the Galaxy Note 7, and how to replace your phone. We will have a new Galaxy Note7 on the way to you as soon as possible.
Samsung will take about 14 days to replace phones and several companies, including T-Mobile, are offering full refunds to buyers over the same week that the new iPhones will be released. It will also refund any accessories purchased directly from it.
Credit Suisse Group AG, Daishin Securities Co. and Pelham Smithers Associates believe that the recall of the Note 7 may cost Samsung up to $1 billion, which is a massive amount. You should visit your local Sprint store to return your Note 7.
As a result, Samsung will most likely go to Chinese battery maker ATL to fill the need for batteries as the voluntary recall begins.

In order to fill the battery losses, the company might have to turn to another provider of batteries used in its “Galaxy Note 7”.
