Samsung Could Be Planning On Recalling The Galaxy Note 7
Samsung would not confirm its reasoning, but reports said that the recent battery explosions convinced the tech giant to suspend shipping to local telecom temporarily.

While Samsung’s Galaxy Note 7 has generated mixed responses from some reviewers, new reports that the company’s premier smartphones’ batteries are literally exploding may push the dial toward hate.
As you might have heard, there have been reports of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 exploding not just once, but twice.
Company officials did not reply to questions about how Samsung determined which phones are deemed safe and which require further testing.
This delay could prove damaging from Samsung, which, the Wall Street Journal reports, “has been relying on its new Galaxy phones to drive the recovery of its mobile business”.
Several people posted images and videos of charred Galaxy Note 7s online and said their phones had caught on fire. South Korea’s Yonhap News said five or six explosions were reported by consumers. The photos and accounts could not immediately be verified. For unlocked models Samsung can make the announcement without any barriers; however, for carrier issued devices, it may face a small issue in announcing the recall.
The company has also faced issues with the production of its handset failing to meet initial demand in some markets, which doesn’t exactly put Samsung in the best position a week before rival Apple announces the iPhone 7. Samsung’s stock lost 2 percent in Seoul on Thursday.
“This is some major buzz-kill for Samsung, especially given all of the hard-earned excitement that products like the Note 7 have been garnering lately”, IDC analyst Bryan Ma said. The Note series smartphones are one of the most expensive lineups released by Samsung and usually inherit designs and features of the Galaxy S series that debut in the spring.

There are reports in South Korea and the U.S. of the Galaxy Note 7 “exploding” either during or just after charging.
