Samsung delays Note 7 shipments amid exploding battery reports
Note 7 shipments are continuing globally and this delay affects the South Korean market only, Samsung spokeswoman Sophia Kim told the Associated Press Thursday.

Yonhap News Agency in Korea reported the news, which Samsung confirmed to Reuters.
Such converters have become notorious for failing to meet specs, leading to Amazon banning them from its online store earlier this year.
Vice President of IT & Mobile Samsung Electronics UK and Ireland, Conor Pierce previously commented on the huge success of the Galaxy Note 7.
Apparently, the device reported in this story has been taken by Samsung for testing. The company has not declared which markets the delays will be affecting.
The new Note 7 includes a 5.7inch curved display, updated S Pen stylus and iris scanner which unlocks the phone with the power of your eyes. This prompted the South Korean company to halt deliveries of its phablet until the matter has been resolved.
It seems as though things might possibly be going from bad to worse for Samsung and its new shining star: the Galaxy Note 7. Images and videos of damaged Galaxy Note 7 devices have been circulating around the internet and have already led Samsung to delay shipments of the device. The new connector brings with it a new charging standard to which some third-party cables have been found to be non-compliant, causing damage to devices from laptops to smartphones using the new port. Amazon recently clamped down on the non-compliant and risky cables.

“This is some major buzz-kill for Samsung, especially given all of the hard-earned excitement that products like the Note 7 have been garnering lately”, IDC analyst Bryan Ma said. If the problem is extensive, then Samsung might have to recall a large number of units, which will once again deliver a crippling blow to the company’s revenue stream and reputation.
